Up Our Street is a pilot project all about transforming the local neigbourhood through a range a range of creative activities, from murals to street furniture, gardening to upcycling.
The project will focus on areas around the Drill House, through to the Time & Tide Museum and will be led by building conservator, designer and gardener, Rachel Harrison. Over the coming months, we’ll be hosting a number of open events where you can join us to share ideas and take practical steps to getting creative in the community.
We’ll be running a couple of drop-in sessions each month plus some longer sessions over the Easter holidays and May half-term. You’ll be able to come along to these and share ideas and tackle some easy projects yourselves; Mosaic Making, creating growing structures, upcycling and recycling and much, much more. Keep an eye on the website for details soon.
We want residents to come to us with ideas around how to improve the neighbourhood and artists, gardeners and creative folk to propose ideas and projects. If you want to get in touch, call us on 01493 745458 or email email@example.com
