Well the dust has settled on 2016’s Out There International Festival of Circus & Street Arts. More than 100 artists brought fun, frivolity and festive madness to around 50,000 of you on the streets, parks, seafront and the newly re-opened Drill House.
This year we tried many new things. We opened Mermadelica, the amazing new fountain bar in St. George’s Park. We expanded the programme of shows significantly on the seafront. We staged our first show at the The Drill House and our favourite brewmeisters at Lacons cooked us up our first ever Festival Ale!
We’d like to thank all the partners and funders who made this year’s festival such a success. We’d like also to thank the artists, crew and volunteers who put so much work into all that you enjoyed. And of course, whether you came from Great Yarmouth, Gravesend, Glasgow, Gorleston or Gent, we’d like to say a big thank you to all of you for once again getting ‘Out There!’
Enjoy a few photos of this year’s festival and keep an eye out for the Festival Film in the next few weeks.
And, for those of you already planning your diary… join us for the 10th Out There International Festival of Circus & Street Arts on the weekend of the 16 & 17 September 2017.
