As part of this year’s Great Yarmouth Arts Festival, we present a day of street celebrations across the cultural quarter… Festa Fiesta returns for 2019.

Focusing our theme on ‘ENERGY’ we have a spirited programme of high energy circus, musical mayhem and food & festivities as we take to the streets and venues of Great Yarmouth.

The day starts with the Great Yarmouth Arts Festival Carnival Parade as it starts from the newly revitalised Venetian Waterways and ending on King Street as we kick off Festa Fiesta’s energetic spirit.

From 12noon to 6pm, King Street amplifies its vibrancy with Reprezent Project’s spirited selection of live music, diverse DJs. street entertainment, delicious food and arts and crafts. Why not take a moment and marvel at the large scale arches fashioned after Arcos de St Antonio festivities and created in our community Festa Fiesta Factory weekends (follow the link to learn how to get involved).

Around the corner from King Street, York Road and The Drill House comes to life with a jam packed jamboree of music, circus, street theatre, unique food and drink and creative workshops as we celebrate the spirit and diversity of our Latin influences.

Here’s what we’ve got planned for your jam packed day of free family fun:

Animating York Road, the mellifluous melodies of Rimski and Handkerchief tinkle around as they bring joy with their honky tonk mischief.

Joli Vyann’s enchanting physical performance, Lance Moi En L’air pulls audiences into an imaginative and creative experience as they display stunning mixtures of strengths and weaknesses of acrobatic prowess.

Dulce Duca blends physical theatre, circus and dance as skirts swirl in stunning and surreal piece of performance.

The Bureau of Silly Ideas make a song and dance out of their laborious construction site…the perfect set for nonsense circus, just all the fun!

Pies et Manos return with their luscious Latino vibes and slick circus vignettes, including slackline, juggling and foot juggling from Mexico’s Raul Canas and Valeria Jauregui.

Hocus Pocus Theatre delight those of all ages with comical, colourful clown characters and their trademark touch of magic.

Rthymic beats ripple across the streets with crazy brass and Latin vibes from DJ BMore McVowty.

And many more delights to see and do as our infectious party flavour brings the energy to the summer season.

We have many more treats as the day turns tonight. Head to our Festa Fiesta Dance Party page to learn more about the music, circus cabaret and curious wonders we have lined up.
